If you are an incoming freshman, we would like to be one of the first to welcome you to college! Though we are located across the street from the beautiful campus of Winthrop University, we are the BCM for all college students in the Rock Hill area. We have students from York Tech, Clinton College, USC Lancaster, as well as those who are college-aged and are taking online classes. Wherever you are attending, we truly hope that your college experience is rewarding, challenging, and a lot of fun. BCM would love to be a part of that experience.
We set aside this page to give you a little more information about what you can expect at BCM as well as to provide a few resources you may find helpful.
Why BCM?
Some of our seniors from the class of 2022 shared some of their favorite BCM memories and how BCM impacted their lives while in college.
What all does BCM do?
BCM gathers weekly at the BCM building (620 Oakland Ave) at 7pm for a free meal and a time of worship where we sing, pray, and look at what the Bible has to say about life. Also, during the week, we have small group Bible studies that meet to build deeper relationships and grow in our faith. We call these Community Groups.
Over the course of the school year, we also have opportunities for retreats, conferences, hang-out events, missions and service, and a lot of fun.
How do I find a church?
We believe finding a local church to be a part of while you are in college is extremely important. There are many great churches that are close to campus that partner with BCM. A great place to start when looking for a church is this list.
